The Fox Lake Golf Club offers an 18-hole course that will challenge the most experienced golfers. The Wisconsin State Journal rated the course 4.5 out of 5 stars in 2006.

The Aquatic Center is the main attraction during the summer months. Both residents and non-residents can relax under a large umbrella area, bubble jets and a swirling slide. There is also a handicap accessible pool area.

The city maintains five parks that the whole family can enjoy. The parks that host main events annually are Adams Spring Park and Town Park. Adams Spring holds Bunny Berigan Jazz Jubilee that brings jazz bands from the Midwest and fans from around the world every May. Town Park has “Concerts in the Park”, which is a series of live music during the summer months.

History
Legend says that the name Fox Lake came from a lost trapper’s survival and eventual rescue by an old man from the Winnebago tribe named Big Fox (1880 Columbia County History; research compiled by Julie Fleming). Established in 1838, the city was the first settlement in Dodge County.
