The action sports enthusiasts can go skydiving at the Atmosphair Skydiving Center. The center is a popular attraction that has customers trained and jumping from airplanes in one day. The parks and recreation department provides activities for all seasons that the whole family can enjoy.

History
Fort Atkinson was named after the commander of the United States forces during the Black Hawk War. A key historic feature near Fort Atkinson is the cluster of Native American mounds that are named the General Atkinson Mound Group. The preserved mounds are located at nearby Aztalan State Park. Various mounds are effigy mounds that look like birds and turtles. A featured mound is a 125-foot long panther intaglio west of the town. Main Street and Merchants Avenue showcase historic features of the town.
