Cudahy Woods is an outdoorsman’s delight that features hiking and biking trails that lead to hardwood forests. Visitors can also hunt, fish, trap, and ski on the grounds.

The city maintains four parks that provide basketball and tennis courts to the public. The parks also have playgrounds for the kids to enjoy. Warnimont Golf Course is an 18-hole, par–three course geared toward amateur golfers, but is also an ideal practice course for experienced golfers.

The Cudahy Library offers an excellent selection of books and various media. Aurora – St. Luke’s South Shore Hospital is located in the area and offers a pharmacy and rehabilitation center.

History
The city was named after businessman and founder, Patrick Cudahy. In the 1890s, Patrick Cudahy purchased 700-acres to build a business. In 1892, Cudahy constructed Cudahy Brothers meat packing plant with his brother John.
