St. Mary’s Medical Center and Memorial Hospital are within 15 miles of the village.

History
Governor Henry Dodge, who was known for his 1835 peace mission commissioned by President Andrew Jackson, named the territory that became Union Grove. Governor Dodge combined the word “Union” with “Grove” because of the gorgeous grove of burr oak trees on the west side of the territory.
