The forest is especially known for its unique glacial features and is an excellent venue for outdoor activities.

Also located nearby is the Ice Age Center, where one can witness the geological phenomena that shaped the area now known as Kewaskum.

History
The Town of Kewaskum was founded in 1852. It was named after an old Native American chief of the Potawatomi tribe. Kewaskum means “turning on his tracks,” which was also used to describe the Milwaukee River that makes a horseshoe bend just north of the Town.
