The village of Reeseville Mini Park offers a playground, basketball court and a gazebo for celebrations and picnics.

Reeseville provides youth pony, pee-wee, little league and junior baseball programs. Games are played at the baseball diamonds at Fireman’s Park. The games are scheduled during the spring and summer seasons.

The village’s library provides a quality assortment of books and educational tools. The library hosts events such as “Night at the Library” to encourage residents to enjoy reading. Fundraisers and sales of used books are held to help out the communities’ programs.

History
In 1844, the Reese family was among the first pioneers to become established in the area. Samuel Reese and his son were well-known farmers. Samuel passed away and was buried in the [Reeseville] cemetery in 1875. Adam Reese moved from New York state with wife Mary in 1841. Adam was a farmer and a school teacher in the area. Adam was elected supervisor, justice of the peace and county superintendent of schools as the community grew. Reese took charge of a railroad station that was built on his land. The railroad was named Reeseville in 1865. With the established railroad, the community continued to develop. The village was incorporated on October 26, 1889.
