Campbellsport, Wisconsin is a village nestled in the Northern Unit of the Kettle Moraine. Home to roughly 2,000 residents, the community is small, yet charmingly so. It harbors many great natural features, including the Milwaukee River, the Eisenbahn State Park Trail and the aforementioned, internationally-known Kettle Moraine State Forest.

The Village of Campbellsport was named a 2006 Tree City USA.

Amenities
Campbellsport is a great place to raise a family. It has a great public school system, which serves the Village, as well as a large number of surrounding townships. It also has many great private schools offering college-prepatory education.

Campbellsport’s recreational opportunities are many. It has two village parks including Columbus Parc and Fireman’s Park. It also features the lovely Whispering Trails, a picturesque walking trail with an abundance of wildflowers adorning its peripheries. Also local to the area is the 25-mile Eisenbahn State Park Trail, which extends from the Village of Eden to West Bend. Built on a former railroad corridor, the trail offers walking, biking and in-line skating. In the winter months, the park allows for snowmobiling and ATVs.

The Kettle Moraine State Forest is within close proximity of Campbellsport and provides almost 30,000 acres of rolling hills, lakes, forests and grasslands. The forest is especially known for its unique glacial features and is an excellent venue for outdoor activities. It offers camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, mountain biking, horseback riding, snowmobiling and cross-country ski trails.

Also located nearby is the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. The thousand-mile footpath highlights the remnants of the continental glaciations that occurred in the area over 12,000 years ago.

History
The area now known as Campbellsport was originally called Crouchville, and then New Cassel. When a man by the name of Stuart Campbell came to own the land in 1873, the Village was renamed Campbellsport.
