History
Charles Goodhue and Timothy Johnson were the first settlers who discovered Johnson Creek where the Union Pacific crosses the Johnson Creek stream. They also founded the neighboring area of Watertown. The area was called Belleville, but was always confused with Belleville, Wisconsin. The area took its name after the post office that was established as the Johnson Creek Post Office.
